| Comments: | On 25 Jun 2013 Jim "Blackie" Black went to join the other Troopers at Fiddlers Green. He died at the Louisville, KY VAMC in the Hospice Unit from squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (his larynx cancer, which had been in remission, came back with a vengeance). He also had Stage 4 renal cell (kidney and bone) cancer. All of the above was due to his exposure to Agent Orange during his tours ! He was cremated after the service with military honors and will stay with me (his widow) till my time comes & then urn will be placed into my casket and we both be buried together.

He taught me to fast draw, and we spent many days shooting pistols and rifles. | Comments: | Richard Gilmore, CW3, of B Troop 1/9 Cav 69-70, has passed away on April 21 in Arizona. He had been disabled with back injuries sustained in service for over the past 20 years. He was scout pilot and lift pilot for with B troop for over 15 months. I am interested in hearing from any body who remembered him. |

| Comments: | My older brother was CWO Richard L. Gilmore from Las Vegas Nev. He was Loach/Slick Pilot with B Troop 1/9 1969/70 . He just passed away from a heart attack on April 22nd 2013 after many years of suffering from service related injuries. His membership in the 1/9 Cav. was highlight of his life. I would love to here from anybody who remembered him. I will try to have him interned at the National Cemetery in Dallas in the next few months. |

| Comments: | I am attempting to locate any one that may have served with my dad, CWO Marvin C. Albrecht. I think he was assigned to A Troop, 1st Squadron of the 9th Cavalry Regiment in 1966-1967. Anyone that could provide any information on him would be most appreciated. He ended up being permanently grounded after his third tour in Nam for injuries after being shot down. He retired from the Army as a CWO4 and passed away form lung cancer in March 1982 two months before his first grandson was born.
